We lost a close friend and member of the Timberfell family, Mark May, on Friday April 25th, 2008. Mark passed away after a brief, but brave battle with cancer. All of us at Timberfell Lodge extend to his partner, Kevin Berry, and all his family our deepest and heartfelt sympathies. Bill opened “The Pool Opening Weekend” with a toast and dedication to Mark and announced that every Pool Opening Weekend forward will be dedicated in honor of Mark.
In order to provide an opportunity for all Mark’s friends from Timberfell a chance to pay him tribute, a Memorial Service is being planned for him. This will be held in the Memorial Garden on the property at a date and time to be announced later.

We are busy at the Lodge getting ready for Pool Opening weekend!! We are finishing a major renovation on the Annex bathroom. It has been completely gutted, enlarged and all new fixtures are being installed. This project should finish up in another week and then we plan to start an expansion project on the Tavern. We know it has been a long road, but the new RV park is finally going to get underway. Our contractor should start moving in his equipment over the next 10 days. We will keep you posted on the progress.
We are pleased to have the Virginia Mountain Bears coming to Pool Opening Weekend for a campout. We had the pleasure of hanging out with these men at their first run in Roanoke last year. They are a great bunch guys and we are looking forward to seeing them at Timberfell Lodge this spring!!

Thanks to all the members of Bearapalooza for bringing their opening show to Timberfell Lodge. The group played to over 50 guests at the Tavern Saturday night. We were treated to some great voices, original music and some onstage suprises { thank you Patrick Arena }!!
Bigg Nugg brught the house down with some very hot hip-hop, and got the boys out of their seats. These guys are great. If you have the opportunity to see them on their upcoming tour, you will not be disappointed.
