Saturday night, September 2, Skip (Mr. Timberfell 2006), Dennis and Todd are hosting a ’70′s themed disco partry at the Tavern. It comes complete with all your favorite classic music on vinyl from the era. They will have Jello-shooters for all and alot of fun. Don’t forget your polyester suit and platfom shoes for this event.

Congratulations to Skip, our new Mr. Timberfell 2006. In a close competition, the title was awarded with scoring by 3 judges as well as voting by the audience. Ken (from the RV park) was 1st Runner-up and Lance (by way of Charleston, SC) was 2nd Runner-up. Doug did an excellent job (as usual) emceeing the pool-side contest. “Bigger and better every year” is the theme of contest, as over $1000.00 dollars in cash and prizes were awarded to winners. Skip wowed the crowd with an original costume– chaps, vest, and cowboy hat, all studded with over 600 minature working purple lights. You go Skip!!  The competition was followed up by a great night of dancing and good times with all the winners. Special thanks to Dennis, Skip and Todd (our guest VJ) for overhauling the sound system and use of their iPod. We appreciate all the contestants and guests for making this weekend a big success. This is a favorite event every year, and we love doing it for you. Looking forward to seeing all of you for the upcoming Labor Day Holiday!!!

Thanks to all the contestants in the First Annual Mr. TimBEAR Contest this past weekend. Your participation made this weekend a great success. We got off to a rainy start Saturday and had to postpone the contest until later that evening at the Tavern, but with all the rooms sold out for the weekend, we had quite a festive group of men ready to see some hot Bears judged in 4 categories. Congratulations to the 5 winners of the contest. John voted by is his fellow contestants for the Congeniality Award. Joe (one very hot leatherman) won for Best Hairy Chest and his partner Jonathan won for Best Cub. Jeff (we all love a redhead!!) won for Best Hairy Buns. Special congratulations MR. TimBEAR 2006, Clay. A BIG thank you to Doug our emcee. He works very hard organizing our contests and we appreciate him very much. We are already making plans for Mr. TimBEAR 2007. Thanks to all our guests for making this weekend such a success. We appreciate all of you.
